The weather was great with some wind for the players to contend with. A few interesting rulings during the day included: One students club fell apart on his downswing! Another student hit his ball over the 18th green onto the practice putting green where it was promptly putted in to a hole by a teacher!. One unlucky player could not find his ball so left his bag on the fairway and returned to the tee and then hit his own bag with his tee shot.
BRIDGESTONE Golf were on hand during the day to offer free ball fitting and a sleeve of balls to all that had their ball flight analysed
Most amazing story of the day was Josh Robertson ( Lee Westwood Golf School Essex) scored a hole in one on the 7th on the Himalayas ( 188 yards with a 4 iron)…sadly the hole in one cash prize of £7500 was for the following day…..British Schools Golf are currently organising a prize for him.
Harry Woan ( Moulton) also hit a great shot into the par 5 16th holing out from 242 yards with a 3 wood to score a albatross
